Review Application Cake - Learn English Free
Before I start to tell my experience using the Cake application, I want to inform you first about this application. Cake application is a free English learning application available for Android or iOS users. The application, published by Playlist Corporation, offers a variety of attractive offers, such as the availability of video conversations and subtitles, speaking exercises with native speakers, Al Speech Recognition features (which are used to check pronunciation), and claims that all offers can be obtained with free.
Alright, to get to the point, here's a review of using the Cake app for the Android version.
To be able to use this application, of course, the first thing to do is download the application first, on the Play Store for Android users and in the App Store for iOs users. After the application has been downloaded, you are asked to choose a language (Language setting). 9 languages are available, including English and Indonesian. Then, you are asked to Sign in via Facebook or Google (the benefit you get if you Sign in is that you can save expressions that you've learned before). See the pictures below.
After Sign in, we will see the front page of the application which contains the Home, Search, Speak, Library, and Profile menus. Then in the upper right corner, there is a bell icon that contains a notification. And on the top left is the Today menu and Subscriptions. In the Search menu, there are various categories of choices, such as movies, Listening for beginners, travel, comedy, popular, American drama series, TV shows, and many more.
We can start learning English by clicking on one of the videos. Then when we listen to the conversation in the video, subtitles will be available under the video and later we can repeat the conversation in video and there will be an assessment/speaking practice about our pronunciation in saying the conversation sentence.
In my opinion, as long as I use this application, I think that this application is very interesting because it allows us to learn English, especially speaking, pronunciation, and listening. And the availability of various categories and videos makes me more excited to try.
Well, that's a review of my cake application. Hopefully what I have said can be useful for all of you. And also hopefully you become more enthusiastic about learning English because learning English is fun! ^^
