Assignment 3 Creative Writing Practice

In early December 2017, the student council in my high school planned to go on a week's vacation in Kerinci. 10 people participated and 1 teacher who guided and introduced several tourist attractions there because by chance he was a native of Kerinci. Our plan was finally realized on December 17, 2017.

After traveling for about 9-10 hours, our car finally entered the Kerinci area. "It's really cold in here!!" that's what I said when entered the Kerinci area. The coldness of the air is not too extreme, it's like twice as cold as Jambi, my hometown. The first destination we visited was Puncak Kerinduan. From the top, we can see the beautiful hills that seem to surround it. While in Kerinci we stayed at the house of one of my friends. Due to fatigue, we only visited one tourist destination on the first day.

The next day, the cool air in Kerinci seemed to welcome the morning. On this second day, we plan to go to Lake Kerinci and Khayangan Hill. We took pictures together there. On the third day, we decided to go to Telun Berasap Waterfall, I think this is the most popular waterfall tourist destination in Kerinci. The waterfall was so heavy that even the splashing made my clothes a little damp.

Even though I have been there for three days and visited various tourist destinations, I still haven't felt the real vacation. Perhaps it's because we only go to tourist destinations that offer natural beauty for photo objects and there are no challenges at all. But on the fourth day, I finally had a real vacation!

"Where are we going today?" asked my teacher, he was ready to deliver wherever we wanted.

"Have you ever been to Pancuran Rayo Waterfall, sir?"

"Never, so let's just go there today."

Well, that's how we chose the tourist destination on the fourth day in Kerinci. Unlike Telun Berasap Waterfall which only took a moment to get there, we had to walk at least 3-4 hours to get to the Pancuran Rayo Waterfall. The road we took was climbing and lots of rocks. We had to cross several streams of water coming from Pancuran Rayo Waterfall. But for me, that’s fun and challenges. During the hike, we could see the beauty of the rows of hills.

After climbing for about 4 hours, we finally arrived at our destination. The sound of spilled water colliding with large rocks greeted us. The height of the Pancuran Rayo Waterfall ranges from 120-150 meters. It is said that this waterfall was a bathing place for seven angels 5 thousand years ago. How interesting!

We played water for about 2 hours. To go home of course we had to go down the hill. While on the way, it rained heavily. If asked which one is more challenging to climb or go down the hill, then I will answer down the hill, moreover, the road becomes muddy due to rain. I have slipped many times. Haha.

The next day, we chose to stay home and cook together. Then on the sixth day, we went to the most popular destinations in Kerinci, Kayu Aro Tea Plantation. On the seventh day, we went to the souvenir center and we went back to Jambi in the afternoon.

It's fun to be able to visit various attractive destinations in Kerinci, especially when I can have a vacation with my friends. The beautiful rural atmosphere allows me to refresh from the fatigue of the city where I live.

See you on my next trip...!

Film Critique: "Lady Bird" Kisah Drama Remaja yang Akan Membuatmu Memaknai Masa Remaja

Assignment 2 Creative Writing Practice

Lady Bird (2017)

Tidak heran ia dinobatkan sebagai Best Actress in a Motion Picture-Musical or Comedy dalam ajang penghargaan perfilman Golden Globe Awards tahun 2018.

Sekian..

Assignment 1 Creative Writing Practice

Kendala Belajar Daring

My Autobiography

Name : Nawangsih

Setelah dinyatakan lolos seleksi, aku cukup sibuk mengurus segala persiapan menjadi mahasiswa baru.

Hingga tibalah hari dimana aku resmi menjadi mahasiswa baru.
